1.GOOD SKIN CARE ROUTINE

The good basis for any makeup look is a good skin care routine and for you to achieve that to die for flawless finish to your makeup,it all starts with your skin.The better your skin looks to begin with,the better the makeup will look and having a solid skin care routine before a solid makeup routine is important. Always start with a clean face,and figure out a skin care routine that works for you.The routine makes a world of a difference believe me!Know you skin type,try to figure out what kind of skin tone you have and choose a cleanser suitable for you.Cleanse,moisturize and prime your face before putting on any makeup,and exfoliate twice or thrice a week to unclog any dirt or oils that would have built up on your skin.Make this a routine and the results are amazing.!

2.CHOOSE THE RIGHT FOUNDATION

One of the biggest mistakes new makeup wearers make is not choosing the right foundation for their skin type and picking the wrong shade.Eyes rolling.We have all gone through that phase.Dont just trust the women at the makeup counter!!Before they convince you to buy a foundation ,wear it around the mall,the store,and outside,basically look at yourself in different light to make sure its a true match.

• If you have dry skin,choose a liquid,stick or hydrating powder foundation.Liquids and sticks both have a creamy(moisturizing)consistency.
• If you have oily skin ,use oil free liquid or powder foundation.They contain powders that absorb oil,leaving you with a matte,smooth finish.
• For combination skin,strategically apply a powder foundation,which allows you to distribute more of the oil absorbing makeup where you need it and less where you don’t, without leaving visible lines.

3.YOUR MAKEUP IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR TOOLS

Its true!What you use to apply your makeup can make a huge difference for your finished look.The right brush doesn’t just make it easier to apply makeup,it can also allow you to be more precise.Invest in a good set of makeup brushes,one that you don’t need to break the bank for!Use the right brush for each task.the illustration below can give you an idea;

4.FOUNDATION FIRST?OR EYESHADOW FIRST?

While some people prefer to apply foundation first and then eyeshadow,I prefer it the other way round.Why?Well if you mess up your eyeshadow or smudge,you can just clean it up with concealer later.Easy.While both methods work,the latter is easier for beginners as correcting smudged up eyeshadow can prove to be a difficult task.but Its a matter of preference really.

5.HAVE FUN!!
